COVID-19 & Asthma Literature Review

The recent COVID-19 pandemic has caused widespread concern throughout the world as people have tried to identify high-risk populations. Many researchers have tried to investigate whether asthmatic patients are at a higher risk of developing serious illness from COVID-19. However, these studies all use different procedures and arrive at different conclusions, thus creating confusion for the general public. This literature review will compile the findings of several studies and provide concise summaries of the conclusions in a way that is simple and easy to understand. 

Food Allergy Database          

The food allergy database will consist of several allergen-free food products available in local grocery stores. The database will allow users to select a certain food category and food allergens to avoid. It will then present a list of suitable products, along with their UPC code and manufacturer. We hope this will help you easily find alternative food products!

Documentary Project on Asthma and Allergies      

Using photography, this project aims to understand the experiences of school and college students with asthma and allergies. Participants will take photos related to their experiences and share them with the online community. This project is supported by a Benenson Award in the Arts from Duke University. We hope this project will shed light on the multifaceted stories of asthma and allergy patients!

Allergy-Free Recipes       

We will create a list of easy, allergy-friendly recipes. We hope you enjoy!
